October 28, 2012 In anticipation of the arrival of Hurricane Sandy the National Weather Service (NOAA) has issued a high wind warning for every county in Central New York from 2pm Monday through 5pm Tuesday. Friday our sister station, WIBX, listed some helpul tips provided by Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente on ways to prepare for the storm. Here is a look at the extended forecast.

October 27, 2012 Hurricane Sandy has been downgraded to a tropical storm, but forecasters warn that doesn't mean there won't be widespread devastation. Wind gusts are expected to be 75 m.p.h when it makes landfall.
It appears to be a foregone conclusion that New Jersey will bear the brunt of Hurricane Sandy as the storm is forecast to make landfall somewhere north of Cape May. The current storm track puts the eye of the storm directly over Central New York later this week.
