State Rodeo Queen Alyssa Volkmer To Perform At Wild West Frogfest
June 8, 2012 Alyssa Volkmer of Herkimer, the New York High School Rodeo Association's "Rodeo Queen", will be performing at the Big Frog 104 Wild West Frogfest Saturday at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds. WKTV reports that Alyssa will then be heading to Wyoming in July representing New York State for the title of "National Rodeo Queen". Earning the state's "Rodeo Queen" title was a rigorous process.

Wild West Frogfest Walk Through – Rodeo
June 5, 2012 Each year about 3 or 4 days before Wild West Frogfest and Rodeo we do what we call the walk through. That was today at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds. It always seems so weird, the wide open grounds look so huge, then in comes the stage, vendor booths and rodeo. Here's a look at the fairgrounds now and what it will look like come this Saturday.

Chris Taylor of Custom Taylor Band Bringing ‘Something Beautiful’ to FrogFest
June 1, 2012 Chris Taylor of the Custom Taylor Band will be the first to hit the stage at Wild West FrogFest & Rodeo June 9th at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds. He's been a FrogFest favorite for years, playing the top country hits and his own songs. This year, Chris Taylor has 'Something Beautiful,' a new tune written by a pair of songwriters out of Nashville and Canada. Taylor has had the song lying around for the past year and decided to record it after he was asked to become a part of the 'Y Partners' program. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the song will go towards the YMCA, a program near and dear to Taylor's heart.
The video was shot with his two daughters at the YMCA and I'm sure he'll sing the new song at FrogFest when he hits the stage at 2pm.

Ethan Harris – Performing the National Anthem at Wild West Frogfest
May 31, 2012 Meet Ethan Harris from Garrattsville, NY, which if you don't know, is north of Oneonta. Ethan is an aspiring singer/songwriter who will be preforming the National Anthem at Wild West Frogfest and Rodeo June 9. He's just 19 and has already opened for American Idol contestant, Melinda Doolittle and won various music competitions around Central New York.
