One of the best days I ever remember was April 1st.,1969, when my friend Guy and I went trout fishing at West Canada Creek on opening day, catching our limit of brown trout. Trout fishing season begins Monday, April 1st.

Utica firefighters were called to a large blaze on the city's west side late on Sunday evening. The fire, reported on the UFD's facebook page to be at 1207 Whitesboro Street, was brought under control early Monday morning.
