Cancer has claimed the life of actor Taylor Negron. His cousin, Church Negron of the band Three Dog Night, announced his death in an emotional video. Negron was only 57 years old.

Renowned poet Miller Williams has died. The writer, teacher and father to country’s Lucinda Williams had been battling Alzheimer’s disease. He died on January 1 in a Arkansas hospital.

Earlier today it was announced that Sony will release ‘The Interview’ in select theaters and on VOD this Christmas Day after all. Following the massive hacker attack on the company and subsequent terrorist threats from the group known as Guardians of Peace, Sony had no choice but to cancel the film’s release after major theater chains decided not to show the film. In a wonderful turn of events, following a petition from Art House Convergence, which was signed by many independent exhibitors, Sony is moving forward with the release. We have the full list of theaters that will screen the film this Thursday.

'The Interview' is over. Sony has not only canceled the December 25th release of the movie, they've pulled their TV campaign over hacker threats, losing $60 million in marketing costs.

The 2015 Golden Globes nominations are in and we already can’t wait for the awards ceremony! Comedic duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are returning to host the Globes for the third straight year, which is awesome if you like awesome things. But enough of that, let’s get down to the list of nominees! Kate Beckinsale, Peter Krause, Jeremy Piven and Paula Patton joined the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to announce the 2015 Golden Globes nominations. The 2015 Golden Globes awards ceremony will be be broadcast live on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 5 p.m. PST/8 p.m. EST on NBC. Hey, Hey Rocko, there's another movie on the way.  The film series that began in 1976, will have a 7th installment coming in the new year.  As of now, it would be the first not to have Rocky as part of the title.  It's tentative title is, "Creed."  Click for the movie storyline.

Johnny Depp must have been channeling his Jack Sparrow persona during his recent award presentation at the Hollywood Film Awards. He stumbled on stage to present the Hollywood Documentary award to famous manager Shep Gordon. Shep was being honored for the documentary about his life titled, "Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon."
