Amanda June of Watertown took home the crown at Big Frog 104's Texaco Country Showdown in Sylvan Beach. Check out Amanda's performance of Reba's "'Till You Love Me" and "Why Haven't I Heard From You."
Another beautiful Wednesday night at Sylvan Beach was capped off with a rockin' show from Fulton Chain Gang during our Country Showcase. As the sun fell into Oneida Lake the crowd took to their feet to show their approval of one of Central New York's best country bands. Read more to check out photos from the night.
Where has the summer gone? The finals of the Texaco Country Showdown talent search is tonight (August 22) at the Sylvan Beach bandstand. That will be followed by the Country Showcase, a free 2 hour concert by the Fulton Chain Gang.
It's the Empire State's signature event and one of the best family values available anywhere. It's the Great New York State Fair and it opens tomorrow at the fairgrounds in Syracuse. Great food, midway rides, music and exhibits ranging from agriculture to horticulture to prize winning chickens, cows and goats await visitors from all over the state and beyond. Country music fans have a choice of top artist to choose from in the grandstand and Chevy Court.

Matt Brewery at the corner of Court and Varick Streets in Utica. The Fulton Chain Gang takes to the stage tonight with their brand of country music, and if you recall their performance at this year's Big Frog 104 Wildwest Frogfest, you know you're in for an entertaining night.

One of the nice things about the "Frog Days Of Summer" are free outdoor concerts held in various towns and villages in Central New York each week. Being Tuesday, tonight New York Mills is the setting for "Concerts In The Park" in Pulaski Park on Main Street.
