So far, thankfully much of central New York has been spared the wrath of Hurricane (now Super Storm) Sandy. But, watching reports on The Weather Channel and elsewhere, you can't help but hope that our friends, neighbors and relatives in New York City, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Massachusetts, Ohio, Virginia, D.C., Western New York and all other areas that took the brunt of the storm are OK.

North Utica Friendly's To Close

Another popular Utica eatery will soon be closing its doors. The Friendly's restaurant on Genesee Street in North Utica will close January 22nd. According to the Utica Observer -Dispatch the closing is the result of its lease being terminated by the property owner. However the news isn't all bad.
