Calling All Smokers…To The NY State Fair Brisket Competition

The Great New York State Fair wants to find out who is the best in NY at smoking...brisket that is.

State Fair officials just announced a brand-new cooking competition at the Fair this year, and it already has us hungry.

If your smoking skills are up to the challenge, you can enter the all-new BBQ Brisket competition.

The contest is sponsored by Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, and will crown one winner with 'best brisket recipe in New York State.'

The grand prize winner will get $200, with second and third place taking home $100 and $50 gift cards to Dinosaur Bar-B-Que.

Second and third place will also get a bbq sauce caddy and apron.

If brisket isn't your thing, but bbq beans are, Dinosaur is also sponsoring a bbq beans contest at the same time.

The competition will be held on the Fair's new 'preview day' on Wednesday, August 23.
