Two New York Places Make List of ‘Most Breath-Taking in the World’
We already know New York has some of the most amazing views and scenery you can find. Now, the world knows it.
The travel website Expedia created a list of "The 55 Most Breathtaking Destinations in the World." Their list included places across the United States like Jackson, Wyoming and the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. But the list was destinations throughout the world, so obviously there were some very unique places from other countries listed like Halong Bay, Vietnam, Isle of Skye in Scotland, and Venice, Italy.
With only 55 places named in the whole world, it's understandable a lot of areas didn't make the cut. New York was lucky enough to be put on the list. Not once but TWICE!
The powerful falls are mesmerizing when the crashing water is at eye level. Surround yourself with all their glory from the decks of the Maid of the Mist, a tour boat that takes you to the bottom of the falls. No barrel rides necessary!
Let's be honest... Were you really surprised Niagara Falls made the list? It's pretty well-known and it's such an amazing sight.
But what about the other New York place on Expedia's list? Do you think you know what it is? It did beat out Niagara Falls - It was actually in the top ten of their list...
It's Watkins Glen - Coming in at number six. According to Expedia,
Everything is lovelier after a glass of wine. Take a tasting tour on the Seneca Lake Wine Trail and treat your eyes and your palate to the beauty of the Finger Lakes.
There are SO many places across the world that could have made their list of breathtaking destinations - It's pretty amazing that New York was able to make the list twice! That just goes to show everyone that there is so much more to New York than just the City - It's a very beautiful and diverse state.
