The Boilermaker Charity Bib Program is back for 2017, along with a new fundraising opportunity.

During registration, runners will have the chance to make a donation to the Run for U campaign.

All funds raised will serve the Boilermaker's Urban Initiative, which includes the Boilermaker Urban Garden and the Boilermaker Public Market.

The Urban Initiative was jumpstarted in 2016, with more programs in development.

Here are the ten not-for-profits participating in the Charity Bib Program:

  • Midtown Utica Community Center
  • The Root Farm
  • Masonic Care Community
  • Griffin's Guardians
  • The Joseph Michael Chubbuck Foundation
  • Make-A-Wish central New York
  • Sitrin Health Care Center
  • CNY Veteran's Outreach Center
  • The Food Bank of Central New York
  • The Salvation Army

Since its inception in 2013, the Charity Bib Program has raised $500,000 for area non-profits.

The 40th running of the Boilermaker will take place on Sunday, July 9th.
