Blake Shelton isn't pulling any punches for the new season of 'The Voice.' Cher will advise Team Blake, hopefully helping bring home yet ANOTHER win.

Yahoo! Music broke the news and says Cher, who has shied away from reality TV, talked about being a part of the new season at last season's finale, backstage after she performed. She was really impressed with the show and it's concept.

'They didn't have anything like this when Sonny and I started. We played bowling alleys and roller-rinks.  This is amazing, where you have people who've been in the business, have been successful, and now want to help you — so you can kind of bypass a lot of the trashy stuff.'

Blake is on cloud nine but tells Yahoo Music, it's bittersweet since his late father's favorite artist was Cher.

'I lost my dad a year and a half ago. And my dad's favorite artist on earth, bar none, no question, was Cher. My dad worshiped Cher. I wish he could have seen tonight's episode, because I would've been texting him saying, 'Hey, I met Cher! I took a picture with Cher!'...She has no idea about any of that.'

Taylor Swift's tour mate and opening act Ed Sheeran will help Christina Aguilera, who returns after sitting out the last season. I just hope she puts more clothes on this time around.  Cee Lo Green, who's also returning ,will get help from Miguel. I missed Cee Lo, his quirky jokes and his outlandish outfits. Adam Levine called in OneRepublic's Teddy Ryan.

The fifth season of 'The Voice,' with the original coaches, premieres on NBC Monday September 23rd. The advisers will begin appearing October 14th when the battle rounds begin.
