Blake Shelton Announces Benefit Concert For Oklahoma – “Healing In The Heartland”

Fellow Oklahoman, Blake Shelton has announced details on a benefit concert to aid tornado victims.  "Healing in the Heartland: Relief Benefit Concert" will be held in Oklahoma City next Wednesday (May 29).   Click to get the lineup and broadcast information.

So far, Blake has lined up wife, Miranda Lambert and Oklahoma Natives, Reba McEntitre and Vince Gill.  More country stars are expected to be announced.  The concert will become a telethon with NBC televising the show live at 9 p.m.   Other networks are expected to carry it live or delayed.

"Everyone has their way to help, and mine as an entertainer is to perform to help raise money and awareness for this tragedy," Blake says.  "This is why I want to do this special and especially hold it in Oklahoma City, which is near ground zero."
