Who Is Billy Lord and Why Should You Go See Him At Shots? [Video]

Billy Lord went from having a good corporate-type job in New York City, to being homeless out on the streets. I think it is safe to say that it was music that saved him and gave him a new purpose in life. After losing his job, family, and apartment to the recession, Billy had no choice, but to sell everything he owned and by the time it was all said and done, his only possession was a guitar. He decided to teach himself to play and he went from the streets of New York City to a debut album and an opening gig for Uncle Kracker.

Billy is no stranger to big dreams and big adventure. In February of 2013, Billy hopped on a motorcycle (for the first time in his life) and drove cross country with just his guitar! We spoke with him about that trip and he debuted a brand new song titled, "Gimme One Kiss."

Billy is in my opinion the definition of American Music. With a perfect sound blend of country and rock, he has all the qualities of a big star. Billy still lives in New York City and travels occasionally to Syracuse, but tours all over the place. He will be at Shot's Sports and Entertainment Bar on Varick St. in Utica starting at 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 19th. Billy will be joined by Brianna Jesse who just won a Sammi Award for Best Artist with over 125,000 votes. One thing is for sure, there is a great possibility you'll be hearing and seeing a lot more from Billy Lord!
