“Big” Kenny Alphin Named Style Trendsetter

He may be best known as being one half of the country hit making duo “Big and Rich” but “Big Kenny” Alphin is also being recognized as a fashion trendsetter. At the recent charity function in Nashville,The Tennessee State Museum Foundation’s seventh annual Sparkle & Twang, Kenny was one of four “fashion plates” honored for their distinctive style.
This year’s evening, dubbed “Let Your Lovelight Shine,” will salute the four 2012 Costume & Textile Institute inductees, who include style trendsetter entertainer Big Kenny Alphin, fiber artist Arlyn Ende of Sewanee, costumer Katy Kattelman of Katy K’s Ranch Dressing in Nashville and Phillip Nappi, founder of Nashville’s celebrated artisan shoemaker, Peter Nappi.
Before you run out to buy one of those high top hits be advised that it is probably a “look” that only works on certain people like Big Kenny. For you? Not so much.
