Big Frog’s Best Backyard Games

In honor of National Backyard Game week, we wanted to know what your favorite backyard game is. With Memorial Day weekend upon us, you may be inspired to try one of Big Frog’s best backyard games.
Kan Jam
Kan Jam tops the best game, not only is it Polly Wogg’s favorite, Dave Wheeler is a fan too.

HILLBILLY GOLF/LADDER GOLF/TEXAS HORESHOES
What ever the official name of the game is, it’s a Big Frog fan favorite. Matt in the morning, Pam and a number of listeners enjoy this backyard game.

BADMINTON
Badminton is a low impact backyard sport. We actually had a team in high school but we called it a ‘birdie’ instead of a ‘shuttlecock.’ Brianna is also a fan.

CROQUET
The best part of croquet is the sending of other player across the yard. Matt Herkimer is a fan of this lawn game that has players hitting wooden balls through ‘wickets.’

Beer pong or soda pong if you’re playing with the kids is a fund game but seems to bring out the competitive side in people. The object; to bounce a ping pong ball in the cups set up on the other end of the table.

FLIP CUP
If you’re a beer pong fan, you must also like flip cup. Two teams stand on either side of a table with solo cups half filled with beer or soda if you have kids playing. The object, to down your drink and flip your cup to land upside down on the table. Then the next person in line goes. First team done, wins!

Who doesn’t like a good water fight.

Whether or not you have a four wheeler, everyone likes to play in the mud. My competitive side likes turning it into a game where the winner is the one who can get the muddiest in one minute.

Whatever your plans for Memorial Day and the summer, make sure to have fun responsibly with any or all of these backyard gaems.
