Update: The Family of Baby Lilyana White had decided to cancel the benefit for Baby Lilyana who is home now from the hospital after suffering from Shaken Baby Syndrome. The family has informed me that Lilyana is blind, is having seizures, and they feel it's best to focus on taking care of her. The family definitely appreciates everything you have done so far to help them. Please continue to pray for this little girl, as she has a long road ahead of her.

Baby Lilyana White is the 10-Week-Old baby who is still in critical condition at a Syracuse hospital suffering from "Shaken Baby Syndrome." The family of Baby Lilyana is holding a benefit to help raise funds for medical expenses and travel costs back and forth to Syracuse from Rome.

When I spoke with Lilyana's great-grandmother, she told me that her sweet baby great-granddaughter was still not out of the woods and nowhere near it. Doctor's say that she is blind and will most likely have permanent brain damage. She does not know how someone could do this to such a precious little thing. I don't think anyone does. No formal charges have been filed yet, but Rome Police are still doing a thorough investigation.

The benefit will be taking place on Sunday, November 2nd at the Elk's Lodge at 126 W Liberty St. in Rome. There will be food and refreshments, entertainment, raffles, and ribbons and bracelets for sale. For tickets call Mary White at 761-4075 or Karen at 338-1743. Tickets are $15 per person and $25 a couple. Children under 10 get in for free.

Donations can also be made to the GoFundMe page at http://www.gofundme.com/fpocx0. Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated.
