Bank Robbery Foiled By Bandits Poor Handwriting [VIDEO]
So let’s say you are planning a holdup. You slip the bank teller a note informing her that you want all the money and be quick about it. The problem is the teller can’t read your writing. That is exactly what happened in New Castle, Delaware when Thomas Love attempted to rob the WSFS Bank.According to the New York Daily News;
Thomas J. Love, 40, walked into a WSFS Bank on Saturday afternoon and handed a teller a note demanding cash, local station WPVI reported.
But the teller couldn’t read Love’s chicken scratch, so she handed the note back and asked him to re-write it, police said.
The flustered thief fled without any money, and was arrested nearby a short time later.
Love was charged with attempted robbery and held on $2,000 bond.
This situation may sound vaguely familiar especially if you have ever seen the Woody Allen movie “Take the Money and Run”. Check out this scene for an idea of how this attempted robbery went wrong.
