Ballister's Bistro has closed their doors in Rome.

After less than two years in business, the restaurant served their last meal March 18th.

"We gave it a shot. It’s with mixed feelings we announce the Bistro is closing. We know our food, staff and nice environment earned us many fans since we opened in June 2015. However, regardless of what improvements we made and how hard we tried, we weren't able to grow our customer base enough to sustain a business in Rome. We do appreciate the support we received from our loyal customers," Dan Ballister wrote on Facebook.

Ballister's Bistro, located on James Street in Rome was best known for their sandwiches, including the curry chicken. Ballister even served up presidential sandwiches during the recent election.
