Trying to find things for the kids to do can be challenging during the winter months.  Until recently, there hasn't been enough snow to sled, ski or snowboard and the luster of new Christmas toys and gadgets have worn off. Whether you live on a farm or in town, the Cornell Cooperative Extensions' 4-H Youth Development has the "boredom cure" with fun activities that will teach them something too.

With today's school challenges, 4-H is a great program that teaches practical knowledge and wisdom through the "learn by doing" philosophy.  Here are some upcoming events at 4-H Programs in Oneida, Herkimer and Madison counties.

February 1, 11, 17 & 23 - 4-H Dairy Bowl Practice 6:30pm — 8:00pm
February 4, 10 & 24 - 4-H sewing classes 5:00pm — 8:00pm
