Another Upstate New York Casino Opens Soon

Located just off the New York State Thruway some 75 miles east of Utica, The Rivers Casino and Resort will be a quick ride from the Mohawk Valley.  The newest upstate casino will be open within a week.

The Rivers will officially open for business on February 8th at Noon, and plans to be open around the clock.  The casino features over 1100 slot machines, 67 gaming tables, and event area and 5 restaurants.  The Leader Herald also reports that a 165-room hotel on the site will be open by this summer.

The new casino is part of a business development near Mohawk Harbor in Schenectady.  A 124-room Courtyard by Marriott recently opened at the harbor, and more businesses are planned for the area.
