There's another alligator on the loose in Whitney Point. Susan Leri spotted the gator on the Tioughnioga River while kayaking Sunday, August 6th.

Susan was enjoying a day on the river with her friends when they saw the alligator sunning itself on the bank. "Everyone took off but my fiancé and I went back because I knew nobody would believe it without video," says Susan.

"The Department of Environmental Conservation will be searching in the area once again. Please remember to be safe and report any sightings to the DEC, writes Whitney Point mayor Ryan Reynolds on Facebook.

The alligator looks to be the same size as the one that was discovered and captured by the DEC in the same area in July.
