Americans Still Dream of Hitting the Open Road

With gas prices heading toward $4 a gallon or more it looks like the days of taking a Sunday drive or a long road trip are fading fast. However, according to an article in the Chicago Tribune, many Americans still dream of driving across the country, either by car or–better yet–in an RV.
The paper cited a survey done by Expedia and found that 25% of men and 33% of women say that they haven’t driven across the country but have dreamed about doing so. My wife and I have always said if that we ever hit the lottery that cross country trip would be right near the top of our bucket list.
