How things change in such a short time.  Just a few weeks ago Candice Glover and Kree Harrison were the top 2 girls on American Idol.  After last night's performance, I won't be surprised if they are the bottom 2.

The top 4 girls sang three times, choosing their own song, doing a duet and performing a one hit wonder.  Amber Holcomb, who has been in the bottom before, and early Idol favorite Angie Miller outsang and outshined Candice and Kree.  The problem was song choice.  At this stage of the game, with four AMAZING singers, it's all about the song!  And Candice and Kree choose the wrong ones.

Angie was the standout of the night.  Although she sang two songs I'd never heard of, she sang with such emotion, you were sucked in.  Her first song 'Who Are You' was at the piano and blew me away as well as the judges, who gave her a standing ovation.  Her one hit wonder was 'Cry Me a River.' Another song I was unfamiliar with, but it didn't matter.  She was the best of the night, hands down!  Keith Urban agreed.

Amber opened the show with Celine Dion's 'Power of Love,' and blew everyone away with her talent once again.  I've never been a big fan of Amber, but I changed my tune after that performance.  Her second song 'MacArthur Park,' earned her a standing ovation from the judges, but I wasn't impressed.

Candice choose Drake's 'Find Your Love' and although it was technically good, it sounded old fashioned.  She stayed in the past with 'Emotion' and ironically, didn't show much.  I've heard Candice sing way better and she could be in some trouble tonight.

Kree could be even bigger trouble. She choose 'It Hurt So Bad' and it wasn't good.  The vocals were great, as usual but  there was no feeling from Kree.  She did a little better with 'A Whiter Shade of Pale' but I don't think it was enough to keep her out of danger from being eliminated.

Song choice. Song choice. Song choice.  If the viewers don't recognize the song, and they have four great voices to vote for, they are going to go with the one who sang the song they know.  Watch all the performances from last night and judge for yourself.

The judges still have their save left.  I think they may use it this week no matter who is the one to be eliminated.  Tune in to Fox at 8 tonight to find out.
