American Idol Judges Use Their Save – Top 8 Recap

The American Idol judges used their only save of the season. It came down to CJ Harris, Malaya Watson and Sam Woolf in the bottom three.

Sam Woolf was spared from elimination after singing 'Babylon.' Jennifer Lopez delivered the good news amid an audience chant of 'save him.'  All three judges agreed it was too early to see Sam go.  The remaining contestants rushed the stage, hoisting Sam up as if he'd won the show, while confetti fell.

Idol alum Daughtry returned to the stage to perform his latest single 'Waiting For Superman.'

The Top 8 are back next Wednesday on Fox at 8pm for 80s week.
