The Tour de Cure may be months away but today is American Diabetes Alert Day.  It's a one-day 'wake-up call' asking everyone to take the Diabetes Risk Test to find out if they are at risk for developing type 2 diabetes.

As an added bonus, this year for every Diabetes Risk Test taken, Boar’s Head will donate $5 to the American Diabetes Association  through April 27, up to $50,000.

The Diabetes Risk Test asks simple questions about weight, age, family history and other potential risk factors for prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. Preventative tips are provided for everyone who takes the test, including encouraging those at high risk to talk with their health care provider.

Although Alert Day is a one-day event, the Diabetes Risk Test is available year-round. So share it with your friends and family to find out if you're at risk.

Don't forget, there's still time to sign up to ride in this year's Tour de Cure, June 3rd at Verona Beach State Park.  You can join my 'Pedallin' With Polly Wogg' team or you can donate. Every $10 donation receives a raffle ticket to win great prizes including the road bike I'm riding from Schuss Ski & Bike Shop, FrogFest tickets with meet & greets and a guitar signed by Joe Nichols.
