Instead of making more milk, make better milk.  That's the thoughts of some successful dairy farmers.  They are sharing their experiences in an article written for Pro Dairy's, "The Manager."

In the article written by Julie Berry, farmers share how they increased their profitability by increasing the butterfat and protein content in their milk.  Another increased the price by dropping the somatic cell count of his product.  Among the ideas used to increase profits, were focusing on the cow's diet and a regimented schedule of maintenance on equipment.
