Adirondack Scenic Railroad Extending Route to Big Moose

It is one of the area’s premiere attractions, the Adirondack Scenic Railroad, and now it is extending its rail route from Thendara to Big Moose. The railroad has long desired to rebuild the 6 mile section and now it looks like that is within reach.
YNN reports that the new section will hopefully be completed by the end of fall foliage season.
The railroad is replacing ties, a project that will allow the company to carry passengers the extra distance from Utica to Big Moose. So instead of the ride stopping in no man’s land and turning around, people can get more bang for their buck, even stopping at a local Big Moose Restaurant.
Don’t forget about the Adirondack Scenic Railroad-Townsquare Media Ghost Train on October 26th. Get all the details here.
