Adirondack Distilling Company Releasing First Batch of Vodka Soon

Utica has always been known as a great beer town thanks to the F.X Matt Brewery and its variety of first rate products and now its about to become a top shelf vodka town. WKTV reports that the Adirondack Distilling Company of Utica is preparing to release its first batch of locally produced vodka. The Varick Street based distillery will have a distinctively Central New York flavor.
The company is using locally grown gluten free corn which makes it a plus for the local economy.
“We know what we are getting, we know where it is coming from, we know the farmers who are supplying us,” said Bruce Elwell Co-founer. “When they know where it is going they take a little more pride in where it going so all in all it’s a better product.”
The company is co-owned by Steve Cox, Jordan Carp and Dr. Bruce Elwell who, you might recall, was recently named the New York State Family Doctor of the Year. Sounds like this this new business is just what the doctor ordered for the local economy.
