A Charlie Brown Christmas Tonight
Our all-time favorite holiday TV show is “A Charlie Brown Christmas”. The whole Greg “Splashin’” McShea family would watch that VHS tape I made of the show 20 years ago, until there was no color left on the tape, and then it stretched. A couple of years ago, my daughter bought us a DVD of the show, so we’re all set. But, if you don’t have the VHS or DVD, you can watch it tonight on ABC-TV at 8:00 p.m.
“A Charlie Brown Christmas”, originally broadcast in 1965 was written by Charles Schulz, creator of the “Peanuts” comic strip. The show is timeless, and so is the message. Even the jazz music by the Vince Guaraldi is still hip. Here’s that memorable scene of Linus explaining the meaning of Christmas.
If you miss it tonight, ABC will rebroadcast it on Tuesday, December 18th at 8:00 p.m.
