5 Christmas Songs I Could Do Without
As they say, opinions are like noses, everyone has one. And that seems especially true when it comes Christmas music. Everyone seems to have a few they could do without. Even the Huffington Post and NBC have a list, so here's mine.
The Christmas Shoes - NewSong
This is a relatively new Christmas song, released in 2000 by the Christian group, NewSong. While it tells a very moving story, it has topped the worst song list for years.
Santa's Gonna Come In A Pickup - Alan Jackson & The Chipmunks
Sorry Alan, it's not you it's those Chipmunks. Those voices just make my muscles tense up. Maybe it reminds me too much of my ex-wife's voice.
Grandma Got Ran Over By A Reindeer - Elmo & Patsy
I could listen to this once or twice during the season, but it follows me everywhere. And the kids LOVE it, so it gets requested ALOT.
If We Make It Through December - Merle Haggard
Love me some Merle Haggard and I really don't hate this song. But it is NOT a Christmas song. Thats just my nose I guess, I mean opinion.
All I Want For Christmas Is You - Vince Vance & The Valiants
Again, here's the case of a song that just gets played everywhere you go. This song has been on the most played chart every Christmas season since 1994.
