Not since the death of NASCAR legend, Dale Earnhardt has a car sped around the circuit emblazoned with the #3.  That was over 12 years ago in February of 2001. Richard Childress made the announcement during test runs at Charlotte Motor Speedway.  The car won't be the customary black, click to check out the 2 different paint schemes that will be used in 2014.

The car will be driven by Dale Earnhardt's grandson, Austin Dillon who is the reigning Nationwide Series Champion.  Who says it will be a "huge responsibility"
"Everybody knows who made this number famous. With my grandfather and his friendship, they were able to build something great that will never be touched.  "But we feel like bringing it back with my grandfather and RCR … it’s going to be special. We’ve put in a lot of hard work and effort at the shop and we’re prepared for everything that’s to come."
The car won't be the customary black driven by Dale Sr.  One scheme has the 'Cheerios' Yellow paint with black doors and the 3 in white.   Watch the video below to check out the other paint scheme and hear from Dillon and car owner, Richard Childress.
