2013 Taste Of Country Music Festival – Willie Nelson Sings All Types Of Music [VIDEO]
February 5, 2013 11:06 AM One of the performers at the 2013 Taste Of Country Music Festival, June 13 -15 at Hunter Mountain is the legendary Willie Nelson. One thing about Willie is that he’s unique. Willie Nelson has recorded with everyone from Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra to Jimmy Sturr And His (Polka) Orchestra. And in 1978, he recorded my favorite Willie Nelson album, “Stardust”, which featured a number of American Standards such as “All Of Me”, “Georgia On My Mind” and the title tune, “Sardust”.
When my wife and I were vacationing in Cape Cod a few summers ago, we stopped into a music store. I saw the “Stardust” album, and she bought if for me. We’ve taken it Cape Cod on our summer vacations ever since. Here’s a sample of Willie Nelson performing, “Blue Skies” (written by “White Christmas” songwriter, Irving Berlin) from the album, which went to number one on the country charts in 1978.
