2012 Baseball Season Opens Tonight, Again
The Major League Baseball 2012 regular season gets underway tonight, when the Miami Marlins host the St. Louis Cardinals at 7:05 p.m. on ESPN. Of course, this year's regular season opened last week in Japan, with the Seattle Mariners and Oakland A's splitting a two-game series.
Why they opened the 2012 regular season last week, then resumed exhibition baseball for a week, and then re-opened tonight, I haven't got a clue. I'm just glad that baseball is back.
For you Mets fans, they play their home opener tomorrow afternoon at 1:10 p.m. when they take on the Atlanta Braves (great rivalry for a home opener), and the Yankees begin this Friday on the road at Tampa Bay Rays - game time 3:10 p.m.
We know there's local interest in the Bosox, and Yankee fans always want to keep an eye on them too. So, the Boston Red Sox open their regular season Thursday, at 1:05 p.m. on the road against the Detroit Tigers.
Play ball, and may the best team win! No, wait. May my team win.
