11 Year Old Stars For High School Varsity Team

At only 4' 5", Julian Newman is the starting point guard for Downey Christian School in Florida. Newman is just 11 years old and already drawing national attention and was featured on the front of the New York Times sports section Sunday.  The youngster is incredibly talented with the basketball causing some teams on the schedule to forfeit rather than face losing to an 11 year old. The fifth grader is averaging 12 points, 10 assists, and 4 steals per game leading his team to an 18-5 record. Read more on Newman's success and future here.
