100 Year Old Runs Full Marathon

After doing 50 minutes on a treadmill I feel a sense of great accomplishment. Imagine how insufficient I felt when I heard about the 100-year old man who ran and finished a full marathon yesterday in Toronto, Ontario. According to AP Fauja Singh finished the marathon in a little under 8 hours some 6 hours behind the race winner Kenneth Mungara of Kenya.Singh earned a spot in the Guiness Book of World Records as the oldest person ever to finish a full marathon. As for his next goal?
The 5-foot-8 Singh said he’s hopeful his next project will be participating in the torch relay for the 2012 London Games. He carried the torch during the relay for the 2004 Athens Games.
Maybe I’ll do an extra 10 minutes on the treadmill today.
