10 Finalists For NYS Fair Theme

A while back, we mentioned that "The Great New York State Fair" was looking for New Yorkers to come up with a new theme for the 2013 fair. Now, they've narrowed down the entries to 10 themes.

Where Culture Meets Agriculture

The Department of Agriculture and Markets received over 500 suggestions from New Yorkers all across the state. New Yorkers had until March 15, 2013 to submit their ideas for this year's theme.

Today, all New Yorkers will be given an opportunity to vote for the theme of the 2013 Great New York State Fair on the New York State Fair's Facebook page, located at www.facebook.com/nysfair. Click on the "Poll" icon on the far right of the Facebook page. Anyone who is not a Facebook user can submit votes directly to the email address: statefairideas@agriculture.ny.gov. The theme will be announced on April 2, 2013.

The 2013 Great New York State Fair will run from August 22 to September 2, 2013."
